Phoenix Sales Recruiters
Software and Technology Executive Search for Phoenix and the State of Arizona
Software recruitment professionals helping Phoenix tech companies build high-performing sales teams
The Phoenix metro area is now the 11th largest in the country while the city itself has notched the #5 spot according to the 2020 census. Demand for skilled workers has increased substantially, thus working with a top-tier recruiting firm will be almost essential in order to build the best possible leadership, sales, and marketing organizations in Arizona.
New technologies and verticals are contributing to the region’s expansion
Real estate, construction, financial services, and manufacturing have had a long history of success in Phoenix and certainly had a significant role in the economic success of the area leading up to the current time.
During the recession of the mid-2000’s the city was hit hard with job losses and a parallel impact to its primary industries. Nonetheless, the recovery that has occurred since the 2010’s has been superb – much of it fueled by new and emerging fields of industry centered around technology.
In recent years the aforementioned sector has made an exceptional contribution to the economic engine of Arizona, and this increased focus shows little sign of abating anytime soon. Security, SaaS, Edtech, Transportation, Healthcare, Biotech, automated and electric vehicles, AI, Fintech, and a host of additional areas of expertise have propelled significant expansion in the city and surrounding region.
The draw of the Phoenix area for technology professionals
For those who like sun, warmth, and good weather it certainly is hard to find another location that fits those attributes more appropriately. It gets hot… Many love it. For those who are somewhat less receptive we have machines that can address that if necessary.
The area also boasts an array of entertainment options, the cost of living is still reasonable compared to a number of other cities with a vibrant technology component, and the plethora of outdoor activities available is fantastic.
Traffic (for those who will be making a commute during and post-pandemic) is relatively light compared to other similar metro areas, and other well-known attractions in the Southwest US are a very simple drive away in Arizona itself and surrounding states.
Venture capital
Since 2020 Phoenix has brought in more venture funding for new and established companies than at any time in the past. Although still outside the realm of many primary technology cores, the growth of available capital is impressive. 2021 numbers tallied near the $1 billion mark, and Q1 numbers for 2022 appear to be in line with the record setting previous year. Indeed, quarter two amounts came in at almost $500 million in funding which was about twice the amount seen in the prior annum.
Currently approximately 75% of venture funding amassed in the area is provided by out of state entities, but a number of local firms are operating in the city and provide strong support financially and structurally. Focus areas typically include B2B software, transportation, telecommunications, finance, IOT, semiconductors, and software as a service initiatives.
College and university support
Arizona State University is in the city itself and the University of Arizona is a very easy trip down the road. Both institutes of higher education provide a strong number of very skilled professionals who can readily meet the requirements of a wide array of job openings in the high-tech field. The state also has a number of additional schools that offer a variety of IT-related courses and programs.
Both ASU and the UA maintain innovation centers, incubators, and entrepreneurial solutions that provide a much needed frame of support for many seeking to form and build a company.
